PFA Player Odds
As the Premier League season enters the home stretch a three-way race has emerged atop the PFA Player of the Year odds, with Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne leading the way as a heavy -400 favorite
The 26-year-old Belgian has played a key role in City’s rise to the top of the Premier League table. De Bruyne set up a pair of Sergio Aguero goals and assisted on a Raheem Sterling marker in the Citizens’ crushing 5-1 win over Leicester City as -450 chalk in EPL action on February 10, and now leads the league with 14 helpers on the season.
The former Bundesliga Player of the Year has also demonstrated his goalscoring touch this season, finding the back of the net seven times, and is pegged as a +230 wager to score at least once in Sunday morning’s Manchester City vs. Chelsea FC matchup at Etihad Stadium.
The league’s top two goalscorers round out the front of the pack on the Premier League Player of the Year odds, with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane joining Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah at +500.
Powered by a trio of multi-goal performances, Kane has potted 12 goals in his past 10 league appearances, including the match winners in the Spurs’ recent clean-sheet victories over Crystal Palace and Arsenal FC.
With an EPL-leading 24 markers on the season, Kane is poised to take a run at the Premier League record for most goals scored in a season, which currently sits at 34. The 24-year-old Englishman also racked up a record-setting 39 goals during the 2017 calendar year, and leads the way on the Premier League top goalscorer odds as a strong -200 favourite to claim Premier League Golden Boot honors for a third straight season.
Salah has been a difference maker in his first season with the Reds. The 25-year-old has carried over the strong play that helped Egypt’s national side earn its first FIFA World Cup berth since 1990, scoring 23 times to closely trail Kane as a +250 wager in Premier League top goalscorer props betting.
The 2017 African Footballer of the Year has also scored 10 times in Liverpool’s past 10 league outings, and has put his playmaking abilities on display with eight assists on the season.
PFA Players’ Player of the Year Longer Shots
Further down the PFA Players’ Player of the Year odds, Aguero sits alongside Eden Hazard at +3300, and Sterling joins David Silva at +4000. David de Gea sports long +10000 odds, followed by Alexis Sanchez at +20000, and Dele Alli at +25000, while Paul Pogba trails as a +50000 longshot.
Aguero was plagued by nagging injuries early in the season, but has scored nine times in six EPL appearances since New Year’s Day. That run includes an impressive four-goal performance in City’s recent rout of the Foxes, lifting his season total to 21, and making the 29-year-old Argentine star an intriguing +450 bet to win a second career Premier League Golden Boot.
Hazard has emerged as a bright spot on a Chelsea squad that is battling to stay above the line on the Premier League table, while Sterling has struggled to maintain his torrid early-season scoring pace, finding the net just once in his past five appearances.
