Real Madrid Champions League Final Chalk
Real Madrid will be looking to end a three-game losing streak against Juventus on Saturday when they take on the defending Serie A champions in the UEFA Champions League final as a narrow -120 favorite.
Los Blancos are coming off a 4-2 aggregate win over rival Atletico Madrid to claim a berth in the UCL final for the third time in four years, but have tallied just one win in their past seven meetings with Juve going into Saturday’s matchup at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Real’s march to the final has been powered by an outstanding knockout stage performance from superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who potted eight total goals in four quarter-final and semi-final matches against Bayern Munich and Atletico. Ronaldo’s 10 total goals leave him one back of Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, who has tallied 11 markers and is perched as -225 chalk to finish as the UCL’s top goalscorer.
Ronaldo trails Messi at +170 on those Champions League prop odds, but has nine total multi-goal matches to his credit in La Liga and Champions League action this season, including three in the month of May.
Juventus Seeks Final Win as Slim Underdog
Juventus continued its dominant play in this year’s UEFA Champions League with impressive performances in the knockout stage, blanking Barcelona while pegged as the underdog in both legs of their quarter-final matchup before ending AS Monaco’s Cinderella run in the semi-final with a 4-1 aggregate victory.
La Vecchia Signora enter the final as even-money underdogs despite outscoring Champions League opponents by a 12-1 margin in their past seven contests. Juve has also surrendered just one total goal in seven UCL road contests this season, but is a middling 4-4-2 in its past 10 road dates across all competitions, including a 3-1 loss to AS Roma as a +200 underdog in a Serie A match on May 14.
While Real has raised the European Champion Clubs’ Cup in two of the past three seasons, Juventus has come up short in each of its past two Champions League final appearances, including a disappointing 3-1 loss to Barca two years ago.
In 18 all-time meetings between Juventus and Real Madrid, their record is all square at 8-8-2.
