NFL Online Betting - Week 4 Preview – Sept. 30 – Oct. 5

It’s Week 4 of the NFL betting season and there are still plenty of picks offering great value on the latest Super Bowl odds at Bovada. There are seven undefeated teams remaining in the league, as the Bills, Bears, Steelers, Chiefs, Titans, Packers and Seahawks have yet to taste defeat. If you’re focused on Super Bowl betting and sleeper picks, make sure to keep an eye on these squads, as each game will have an impact on their latest Super Bowl odds. Each of these teams has a good chance of pushing their record to 4-0 this week, except for the Steelers and Titans, who’s head-to-head matchup has been postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Tennessee roster. Let’s review some NFL odds with this NFL betting preview for Week 4.

Arizona Cardinals (-3.5) vs. Carolina Panthers (+3.5) – October 4

The Panthers are still missing RB Christian McCaffrey, but are coming off their first win and NFL betting upset of the season as they defeated Justin Herbert and the Chargers in their last game. They are once again looking to upset another talented, young QB in Arizona’s Kyler Murray. On the other side of this matchup, the Cardinals are looking to rebound from their first loss of the year at the hands of the Detroit Lions. Murray threw three picks in that game and Arizona’s defense looked shaky, so you can bet that the Cardinals are looking for a bounce back performance. Bovada’s NFL odds have Arizona as the favorite in this week’s matchup, and if the Cards get rolling on offense it could be hard for Carolina to keep up without their stud running back.

Indianapolis Colts (-3) vs. Chicago Bears (+3) – October 4

Despite being undefeated, the Bears enter Week 4 as a home dog against the Colts. After replacing Mitch Trubisky and leading his team to a miraculous comeback against Atlanta, QB Nick Foles has officially been named the starter. He’ll need to protect the football and continue developing his rapport with WR Allen Robinson to keep Chicago’s perfect record intact. The Colts and QB Philip Rivers have been under-the-radar since suffering a Week 1 upset to the Jaguars. Indy’s had two blowout victories since, albeit against the winless Vikings and Jets. Rivers can still move the ball, but the Colts game plan is centered around their running game, led by the league’s best O-line. NFL betting fans should note that Indy’s defense has given up the least amount of points in the league, while the Bears have surrendered eighth-least, leading NFL odds makers to predict a low scoring game between these two teams.

New Orleans Saints (-4.5) vs. Detroit Lions (+4.5) – October 4

Bovada NFL odds projected the Saints as a Super Bowl betting favorite in 2020, but a Week 1 injury to WR Michael Thomas has slowed their offense and led to losses versus the Raiders and Packers in back-to-back games. Things aren’t all bad for New Orleans, as they still have RB Alvin Kamara terrorizing defenses as a receiver out of the backfield, and they are hoping to Thomas returns for this game which will make life a lot easier for QB Drew Brees. The Lions may not have entered the season with the same Super Bowl odds as the Saints, but have some dangerous weapons including WRs Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr., RB Adrian Peterson and TE TJ Hockenson. Lions QB Matthew Stafford will be looking to light up a Saints secondary that has been carved badly over the past two games, and lead his team to another upset victory.
