Best NCAAF QB’s of Week 13
Only one week remains in this year’s college football season, with teams around the country playing out their schedule with the hopes of earning a spot in a bowl game or even the College Football Playoffs. Last week’s game provided fans with plenty to cheer about, as there were a number of thrilling NCAA football games on Friday and Saturday.
The quarterback position was once again leading the way in Week 13, as college football’s top signal callers carried their teams to victory. From Alabama’s thrilling win over Auburn on the game’s final play to Michigan’s massive triumph over Big 10 rival Ohio State, Week 13 features some impressive performances from the country’s best quarterbacks.

10. Drew Allar – Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State rolled over Michigan State last week in a 42-0 blowout with quarterback Drew Allar under center. The 6’5” sophomore enjoyed a career day, putting up 292 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 17 of 26 passing. The win improved the team’s record to 10-2 (including a 7-2 mark in conference play), with Allar elevating his touchdown-to-interception ratio to an impressive 23:1 on the season.
9. Josh Hoover – TCU Horned Frogs
While his team may have fallen short in Week 13, you can’t blame the loss on TCU quarterback Josh Hoover. The first-year starter went head-to-head with Oklahoma in an offensive shootout, ultimately losing the game 69-45. Hoover threw a staggering 58 passes on the day, connecting on 32 of them for 344 yards and 5 total touchdowns in the losing effort (4 passing, 1 rushing). You can bet TCU fans are hoping to see more of that in the future.
8. Bo Nix – Oregon Ducks
Oregon and Oregon State faced off last Friday in a battle between two ranked teams from the Pac-12. Ducks quarterback Bo Nix delivered yet another stellar performance for Oregon, with the Heisman Trophy contender completing 82.5% of his passes (33 of 40) for 367 yards and two scores. He also had 6 carries on the day, picking up an additional 31 yards and another touchdown for his team. With Oregon now 11-1 and desperate to reach the College Football Playoffs, this was a big win for Nix and the Ducks.
7. Brennan Armstrong – NC State Wolfpack
His numbers on the year may not blow you away, but Wolfpack quarterback Brennan Armstrong showed what he’s capable of in Week 13. The senior signal caller led his team to a big win over in-state rival North Carolina, improving their record to 9-3 on the season. When it was all said and done, Armstrong had thrown for 334 yards and 3 touchdowns on 22 of 31 passing, cruising to a 39-20 win over the Tar Heels.

6. Jalen Milroe – Alabama Crimson Tide
In one of the most exciting college football games from Week 13, quarterback Jalen Milroe helped keep Alabama’s playoff hopes alive with an exhilarating road win over Clemson. Despite jumping out to an early lead, Alabama found themselves trailing late in the fourth quarter. That was until Milroe put the Crimson Tide on his back, driving down the field and completing a memorable 4th and goal from the 31-yard line for the game-winning score. He finished the game with 259 yards and 2 touchdowns on 16 of 24 passing, with another 107 yards running the ball.
5. Chandler Rogers – North Texas Mean Green
The North Texas quarterback had his second strong showing in as many weeks in Week 13, leading the Mean Green to a thrilling 45-42 win over UAB. Rogers connected on 30 of 53 pass attempts, throwing for 404 total yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory. The American Conference matchup was a back-and-forth affair, with Rogers guiding his team down the field in a 7-play, 60-yard drive to kick the game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock.
4. Dillon Gabriel – Oklahoma Sooners
As we’ve already covered, Oklahoma and TCU had an incredible gridiron battle last week, with the Sooners ultimately winning, 69-45. Dillon Gabriel was the main catalyst for Oklahoma in this one, with the fifth-year starter enjoying one of his best performances of the season. The Sooners quarterback went off on TCU, throwing for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns, with an additional score on the ground for a Sooner program that is now 10-2 and ranked No. 12 in the nation.

3. Joe Milton III – Tennessee Volunteers
Playing in one of his final games for Tennessee, senior Joe Milton III had his best game of the campaign in a 48-24 romp over Vanderbilt. The talented quarterback was 22 of 33 throwing the ball, picking up season highs in passing yards (387) and passing touchdowns (4). He wasn’t done there, as the Volunteer also ran the ball effectively in the red zone, scoring two rushing touchdowns on just five carries.
2. Jayden Daniels – LSU Tigers
LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels continued his torrid pace in Week 13, once again bending the opposition to his will with both his arm and his legs. Playing against Texas A&M, Daniels had 235 yards and 4 touchdowns on 16 of 24 passing in a 42-30 win. He also managed to pick up 120 rushing yards on just 11 carries for the day, including an impressive 49-yard rush that got LSU fans up out of their seats.
1. Noah Fifita – Arizona Wildcats
The best NCAA quarterback performance in Week 13 belongs to Noah Fifita, a talented freshman starting for Arizona in the Pac-12. Fifita seems to be getting better with each passing week, as his numbers continue to improve as the season rolls along. Playing on the road against Arizona State, the young playmaker went off to the tune of 527 yards and 5 touchdowns on 30-41 passing. The yardage and touchdowns were career-highs for Fifita, who was at his best in this 59-23 victory.
