Khabib Listed as Favorite on UFC 223 Odds - Bovada Sportsbook

Max Holloway will be aiming to become the second fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold championship titles in two weight classes on Saturday when he battles Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight crown as a +325 underdog on the UFC 223 odds.

Holloway currently holds the undisputed UFC featherweight title, which he successfully defended with a third-round TKO victory in a UFC 218 rematch with former champion Jose Aldo as a -285 favorite, and he is now undefeated in 12 contests going into Saturday night’s match at Barclays Center.

Holloway was not scheduled to fight at UFC 223, but stepped up in place of interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, who was forced to withdraw from Saturday’s main event after suffering a knee injury last weekend. Saturday’s clash will also prove to be a physical test for Blessed, who will compete in the 155-pound weight class for the first time since joining the UFC in 2011.

While Holloway has created a buzz with his unexpected bid for multiple UFC titles, Khabib takes an unblemished 25-0 professional MMA record into this weekend’s clash as a heavy -450 favorite on the Khabib vs. Holloway odds.

The 29-year-old Russian earned a Performance of the Night bonus in his last outing, a three-round unanimous decision win over Edson Barboza as -380 chalk at UFC 219. Khabib has also finished opponents in four of nine UFC tilts, including a third-round submission of Michael Johnson at UFC 205, but faces an adversary in Holloway who went the distance in his only two losses in the octagon.

Jedrzejczyk Narrow UFC 223 Betting Odds Favorite

Elsewhere on the UFC 223 betting odds, Joanna Jedrzejczyk aims to avenge a stunning opening-round TKO loss at UFC 217 that cost her the UFC women’s strawweight title when she steps into the octagon for a rematch with champion Rose Namajunas as a narrow -125 favorite.

Joanna’s defeat as massive -700 chalk marked the first loss of her professional MMA career, dropping her record to 14-1. The 30-year-old Polish star quickly rose to the top of the women’s strawweight ranks after joining the UFC in 2014, seizing the title with a second-round TKO of Carla Esparza as a +135 underdog at UFC 185, and following up with five successful title defenses including four victories by unanimous decision.

Pegged as a slender -105 underdog in her first title defense on Saturday, Rose’s impressive victory over Joanna as a +450 bet marked her second straight win inside the distance, and the second time she has earned a Performance of the Night bonus.

Earlier in the evening, featherweight Calvin Kattar sets his sights on an 11th straight victory as he takes on Renato Moicano as -140 chalk.

Kattar garnered Fight of the Night honors last time out with a third-round TKO win over Shane Burgos on +190 odds at UFC 220, ending a run of seven straight wins by decision. Moicano is coming off a third-round submission loss to Brian Ortega as a -200 favorite at UFC 214, but maintains intriguing +110 odds.

And a winner of just two of his past seven fights, Anthony Pettis is pegged at +115 in his lightweight clash with Michael Chiesa, who is perched as -145 chalk.
