Miocic Narrow Favorite on UFC 211 Odds

Miocic Narrow Favorite on UFC 211 Odds - Bovada Sportsbook

Stipe Miocic will have revenge on his mind on Saturday when he enters the octagon for a long-awaited rematch with Junior dos Santos in the main event at UFC 211 as a -140 favorite.

The reigning UFC heavyweight champion has won four straight fights going into Saturday night’s matchup at American Airlines Arena, and will be looking to erase the memory of his narrow unanimous decision loss as a +325 underdog in his first clash with dos Santos at UFC on Fox 13.

Miocic has been dominant since that defeat, claiming victory within five minutes in each of his past three fights, including a stunning knockout of Fabricio Werdum as a +150 underdog at UFC 198 to win the UFC heavyweight crown.

“Stone Cold” followed up with a first-round KO win over Alistair Overeem as -145 chalk in his last outing at UFC 203, successfully defending his title for the first time and earning Fight of the Night honors for the third time in his UFC career.

Saturday night’s clash marks dos Santos’ third fight since his win over Miocic in December 2014 as -450 chalk. “Cigano” followed up that win with a disappointing second-round TKO loss to Overeem as a heavy -225 favorite at UFC on Fox 17, but rebounded to outlast Ben Rothwell in a five-round battle at UFC Fight Night 86, picking up the unanimous decision as a razor-thin -110 underdog.

However, it remains to be seen which “Cigano” will show up at UFC 211. The former UFC heavyweight champion has failed to record consecutive victories in six fights since seeing a 10-fight win streak halted, and has been knocked out twice during that stretch.

Rodriguez Set as Underdog vs. Edgar

In other UFC 211 betting action, Yair Rodriguez looks to continue his meteoric rise up the UFC featherweight rankings when he battles veteran Frankie Edgar as a +110 underdog.

“El Pantera” rocketed to No. 7 in the rankings following an impressive second-round TKO win over B.J. Penn as -340 chalk at UFC Fight Night 103, and has now won eight straight including two victories inside two rounds.

Pegged as betting chalk in his eighth straight fight, “The Answer” sports -140 odds against the youthful Rodriguez, and is 6-2 in eight fights since moving to the UFC featherweight division, going the distance on five occasions.

As well, women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk is pegged as -170 chalk in her clash with challenger Jessica Andrade, who sports +140 odds, while Jorge Masvidal is a narrow -125 favorite against Demian Maia, who is listed at -105 for their UFC welterweight tilt.
