NBA Christmas Day Betting Odds at Bovada Sportsbook

The Houston Rockets will be looking to extend their current win streak on home hardwood to seven games when they host the rival Oklahoma City Thunder on Christmas Day.

Houston continued its recent hot play on Saturday with a 108-101 victory over the visiting San Antonio Spurs as 4.5-point home favorites on the NBA odds to improve to 6-1 straight up in its past seven games overall going into Tuesday afternoon’s game at Toyota Center.

The Rockets’ current surge has helped them overcome a shaky start to the season, lifting the team’s overall record back above .500 to 17-15. Houston has also regularly paid out of late, going 5-1-1 against the spread in NBA basketball betting over its past seven games, and is also unbeaten ATS in its past six on home court.

The Thunder head into the holidays in a tight three-way battle with Golden State and Denver for first place in the Western Conference standings. But Oklahoma City has struggled at times on the road this season, coming up short in three of its past five away dates, including recent outright losses in Chicago, New Orleans, and Denver, all as favorites on the NBA odds.

However, the Thunder have taken two straight from Houston, and tallied a 112-107 win as 2-point favorites on the NBA betting lines in Christmas Day action last season. And the Rockets will be missing guard Chris Paul, who is out of action with a strained hamstring.

Warriors Clash With Lakers, LeBron on Christmas

Elsewhere on Tuesday’s slate, the Warriors will try to keep pace with the Thunder in the Western Conference standings when they hit the floor for a Christmas Day clash against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Golden State is undefeated SU in three straight Christmas Day contests on home hardwood, capped by a 99-92 win over James’ former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, last season. The Warriors have also dominated the Lakers since their rise to perennial championship contenders, winning seven in a row SU and claiming 11 straight outright wins at Oracle Arena since 2011.

The Lakers enter the holiday well inside the Western Conference playoff picture for the first time in six years, and maintain steady +1600 odds to claim the conference title for the first time since 2010. But Los Angeles has struggled on the road, going 2-5 SU and ATS over its past seven games away from the Staples Center, and is winless in three road outings on Christmas Day since 1996.

Sixers Seeking a Holiday Victory over the Celtics

Also on the NBA Christmas Day schedule, the Philadelphia 76ers look to win three in a row for the first time since December 2 when they visit the Boston Celtics on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sixers dominated on Saturday in a 126-101 rout of the Toronto Raptors as 7.5-point home favorites in NBA betting action, and have averaged over 120 points per game during a 3-1 SU run. With the victory, Philadelphia pulled to within 2.5 games of the first-place Raptors, and are set as a +400 wager on the NBA futures to win the Atlantic Division title.

However, wins have been rare for Philadelphia when they battle the Celtics, with the 76ers having posted just one SU win in 11 visits to TD Garden since April 2014, and going 3-19 SU in the past 22 overall meetings between these two clubs.
