Hill, Roethlisberger Featured on NFL Week 2 Props

NFL Week 2 Prop Bets at Bovada Sportsbook

It didn’t take long for Tyreek Hill to pick up from where he left off last season. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver and return specialist set the tone for the new NFL season in his team’s Week 1 contest, opening the scoring with a 91-yard punt return for a touchdown in his first touch of the season.

Hill would later add a pair of scoring catches to seal the Chiefs’ 38-28 upset victory over Los Angeles as 3-point underdogs, including a 58-yard touchdown reception. However, Hill is pegged as a lengthy +350 wager on the NFL betting props to score a touchdown of 50 or more yards in this weekend’s clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Selected 165th overall by Kansas City, Hill has emerged as one of the steals of the 2016 NFL Draft. The 24-year-old has racked up 20 total touchdowns over his first two seasons, leaving him ranked third all-time among NFL wide receivers, behind only Randy Moss and Odell Beckham Jr.

Long scores have become Hill’s specialty, with four of his 2017 scoring receptions or returns exceeding 55 yards. However, the Chiefs have struggled to produce points in recent dates with Pittsburgh. Kansas City has averaged a meagre 14.7 points per game during a dismal 1-6 straight-up run against the Steelers, and has not scored more than 17 points in a contest in Pittsburgh since 1986.

Pittsburgh will be under pressure to rebound in Sunday afternoon’s game at Heinz Field after settling for a 21-21 tie in their Week 1 clash in Cleveland. It proved to be a particularly frustrating afternoon for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who squandered scoring opportunities with three first-half interceptions.

Case Keenum also struggled in his debut as the Denver Broncos’ starting pivot, throwing three picks in his team’s 27-24 win over Seattle. However, Big Ben holds the edge on the NFL Week 2 props as a -150 favorite to throw more interceptions than Keenum this weekend.

OVER/UNDER Set for Week 2 Interceptions Total

Week 1 proved to be tough for QBs across the NFL. Pivots combined to toss 39 interceptions, with Detroit Lions passer Matt Stafford leading the way with four picks. For Week 2, there are -140 odds favoring OVER 26.5 interceptions being thrown on the NFL prop bets.

The Browns’ character performance in last weekend’s tie with Pittsburgh has raised the spirits of NFL fans on the shores of Lake Erie. After recording just a single SU win over their past 32 regular-season contests, the Browns look ready for a long-awaited return to respectability, and the win column.

Cleveland faces a huge task in their Week 2 visit to New Orleans as 9-point underdogs, but is pegged as a massive -2500 favorite on the NFL props to record at least one win this season.

And the seven NFL teams sporting new head coaches are also expected to enjoy more success in Week 2. After combining to go 0-7 SU in Week 1, teams featuring new bench bosses are a -125 bet to combine for OVER 2.5 wins this weekend on the NFL props.
