Saints Favorites on MNF Week 15 NFL Betting Odds

NFL Betting Odds at Bovada Sportsbook

The New Orleans Saints will be looking to continue their march toward their first finish atop the NFC standings since 2009 when they visit the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football as 6.5-point favorites on the Week 15 NFL betting odds.

New Orleans improved its straight-up record to 11-2 with last weekend’s 28-14 win in Tampa Bay, and remains in a two-way race with the NFC West-leading Los Angeles Rams going into Monday night’s matchup at Bank of America Stadium.

With the win over the Buccaneers as 9.5-point chalk the Saints have also covered in 10 of 11 contests, making them the most reliable wager in the NFL this season, with a 10-3 against the spread record on the NFL odds.

New Orleans has been particularly successful on the road, going 6-1 ATS this season and 11-4 ATS in its past 15. However, the Saints have produced uneven results when pegged as road betting chalk of six or more points, failing to post outright wins in consecutive games during a 4-4 SU run while going 2-6 ATS.

While the Saints have taken three straight from the Panthers, their uneven road results extend to recent visits to Carolina, where they have dropped four of six SU. But they have regularly paid out on the game line odds, going 3-0-1 ATS in their past four, capped by a decisive 34-13 victory as 5.5-point underdogs in September of last year.

New Orleans has struggled to generate points on the road in its past two dates away from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, racking up just 39 total points after tallying a season-high point total in a 51-14 victory in Cincinnati in Week 10. That has contributed in a decline in the total for Monday’s contest, which opened at 54.5 but is now set at 50.0 on the NFL betting lines.

The Saints have produced solid results in recent appearances on Monday Night Football. New Orleans dominated in a 43-19 rout of the Washington Redskins as a 5.5-point home favorite in MNF betting back in Week 5, and has earned SU victories in four of six road appearances, including a 2-1 ATS record as road underdogs.

Panthers Desperate for the Win on Monday Night

The Panthers will be in desperation mode as they hit the gridiron on Monday night riding a five-game SU and ATS losing streak that has all but bounced them from playoff contention. Carolina is coming off a 26-20 loss to the rejuvenated Cleveland Browns last weekend while pegged as 1-point chalk in NFL football betting, dumping the team to 6-7 SU on the season.

And with Minnesota romping to a 41-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, the Panthers now sit 1.5 games back of the Vikings in the race for the second and final NFC wild card.

The Carolina offense has evaporated during the team’s freefall, averaging just 20.8 points per game after averaging 30 points per game over their previous six. However, the Panthers have claimed the win in five of six home outings this season, and are pegged as a short -470 wager in NFL betting to claim at least one victory over the final three weeks of the regular season.
