Fournette Favored on the NFL OROY Odds

Fournette Favored on the NFL OROY Odds - Bovada Sportsbook

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette hopes to bounce back from a nagging ankle injury that plagued him throughout his final college football season as he prepares to make his NFL debut as a +450 favorite to claim 2017 offensive rookie of the year honors.

Fournette was limited to just seven appearances with the LSU Tigers in 2016, tallying just 843 rushing yards and eight TDs after amassing 2,206 total yards and 23 scores in 2015. Despite last season’s struggles, Fournette was selected fourth in this year’s NFL Draft by Jacksonville, where he is expected to battle for playing time with veterans TJ Yeldon and Chris Ivory.

Another versatile running back closely trails Fournette in offensive rookie of the year props betting. Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers sports +550 odds after a pair of standout campaigns at Stanford, including a spectacular 2,664 total-yard season in 2015.

McCaffrey bolsters a backfield led by veteran Jonathan Stewart, who has tallied over 2,500 total rushing yards over the past three NFL seasons despite missing 14 games due to injury.

Watson, Cook Follow on NFL Betting Prop

Houston Texans quarterback DeShaun Watson sits alongside McCaffrey at +550, followed by Minnesota Vikings rusher Dalvin Cook at +700, while Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis rounds out the top of the odds at +800.

Watson played a crucial role last season in Clemson’s drive to its first national championship victory since 1981, and finished third in the nation with 4,593 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. Watson established himself as a collegiate star as a sophomore in 2015, throwing for over 4,100 yards and guiding the Tigers to a College Football Playoff berth.

Following three standout campaigns at Florida State, Cook will be expected to help fill the void left by the departure of former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson, but will face stiff competition for playing time in the Vikings backfield from Latavius Murray, who moved to Minnesota in the off-season following three seasons in Oakland.

Davis was selected fifth by Tennessee after racking up over 1,400 receiving yards in each of his past three seasons with Western Michigan, and is expected to be given every opportunity to earn a starting job in his NFL rookie campaign with the Titans, who are pegged as an intriguing +225 bet to emerge as AFC South champions in the upcoming season.

Trailing the favorites, Los Angeles Chargers receiver Mike Williams joins Cincinnati rusher Joe Mixon at +1200, ahead of Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams, who sits alongside Cleveland Browns pivot DeShone Kizer and Bengals receiver John Ross at +1400.
