Man City Sits Atop Premier League Odds

Manchester City sits atop Premier League Odds - Bovada Sportsbook

After opening the Premier League season with six straight victories Manchester City has hit hard times, going winless in their past three. But the Citizens’ recent swoon has not impacted their position on the Premier League futures, where they remain perched as +125 favorites.

The Citizens dominated during their season-opening surge, outscoring opponents by an 18-5 margin, but have mustered just two total goals over their past three games going into Saturday’s matchup against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Manchester City supporters welcomed the fast start after the club finished below the line in fifth place on the league table last season.

But after following up a 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur with a pair of 1-1 draws on their home pitch in dates with Everton and Southampton, the Citizens are now joined atop the table by Arsenal and Liverpool, who sport identical 6-2-1 records.

Liverpool earned their sixth victory of the campaign last weekend, topping West Brom by a 2-1 score, and sits as Manchester City’s closest competition on the Premier League futures with +330 odds.

The Reds are also rebounding from a disappointing 2015/16 season, which they finished in a distant eighth place.

Arsenal and Chelsea Also In The Running

Arsenal, meanwhile, is looking to take the next step after finishing second last season with 71 points, and are pegged as a +500 bet to claim their first Premier League title since 2004.

Arsenal opened the season with a disappointing 4-3 loss to Liverpool, followed by a scoreless draw with Leicester City. The Gunners have caught fire since then, claiming six wins in their past seven, surrendering more than one goal on just one occasion.

Chelsea sits just one point back of the top three, with 19 points, and also rounds out the front of the pack on the Premier League futures at +550.

Supporters of the Blues have endured a vicious roller coaster ride over the past two seasons, with the club following up a Premier League championship win in 2015 with their worst league finish in 20 years last season, finishing well back in 10th place.

The Spurs sit alongside Chelsea with 19 points, but trail on the Premier League championship odds at +1000. Manchester United has struggled to a 4-3-2 record over the first two months of the season, and remains stalled at +2000.

Everton is pegged as the best of the rest, sporting +20000 odds, while defending champion Leicester is a long +25000 wager to successfully defend its Premier League crown.
