Texans Atop Dez Bryant Next NFL Team Prop Bet

Texans Atop Dez Bryant Next NFL Team Prop Bet - Bovada Sportsbook

It has been a month since wide receiver Dez Bryant was cut by the Dallas Cowboys, making the former NFL receiving touchdowns leader a free agent. Originally expected to be destined for the Baltimore Ravens, rumors of Houston’s continued interest have lifted the Texans to +300 favorites on the odds on which team will sign Dez Bryant.

The Ravens emerged as +300 favorites on the Dez Bryant next NFL team odds in the hours following his release by the Cowboys, and reportedly approached Bryant with a multi-year contract offer. However, the 29-year-old rejected Baltimore’s offer, and is reportedly seeking a one-year deal for next season.

The Texans could be the ideal fit for Bryant. In addition to being the Cowboys’ cross-state rivals, the Texans are led by one of the NFL’s brightest young quarterbacks in Deshaun Watson, who admitted to having several conversations with the three-time Pro Bowler, during a Q&A with reporters last week.

Bryant may also represent an important last piece for a Texans squad pegged at +1600 on the Super Bowl odds for the season ahead.

The New York Giants closely trail Houston as a +375 Dez Bryant next NFL team prop bet, ahead of the Washington Redskins at +500, while the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, and New England Patriots sit deadlocked at +600.

Bryant recently expressed considerable enthusiasm at the prospect of joining the Giants, describing the opportunity to play alongside the likes of quarterback Eli Manning and receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as “crazy”, and could also be enticed by the prospect of two regular-season dates against his former Cowboys teammates. However, the Giants currently sit well back of the favorites in Super Bowl betting with long +3000 odds.

Washington Third on Dez Bryant Next NFL Team Odds

Joining the Redskins would also provide Bryant with two opportunities next season to prove the Cowboys wrong about their decision to release him. Washington management could be eager to provide recently signed quarterback Alex Smith with veteran targets downfield. But after taking a step back last season with a 7-9 finish, the Redskins look a long way from winning, as reflected by their +7500 Super Bowl odds.

The Panthers will open their 2018 NFL season against Dallas, but have already beefed up at wide receiver with the offseason signings of veteran Torrey Smith, and free agent Jarius Wright.

Enormous pressure exists on the Colts to make a significant turnaround after last year’s dreadful 4-12 campaign. Indianapolis reportedly entered the offseason with an estimated $60 million available to spend on player upgrades, giving the squad ample room to win a bidding war. However, the Colts continue to face major question marks under center, with the health status of starter Andrew Luck still up in the air.

The offseason departures of Danny Amendola and Brandin Cooks could create an opening for Bryant in New England, drawing parallels to Randy Moss, who went on to make 23 touchdown catches when he joined the Patriots in 2007 at the age of 29.

Further down the Dez Bryant odds, the New Orleans Saints sit at +650, followed by the San Francisco 49ers at +800, the Buffalo Bills at +900, and the Arizona Cardinals, who lag as +1000 longshots.
