Bet on NBA Odds and Basketball Lines at Bovada

Anthony Davis continued his ascension into the ranks of the NBA elite last season by racking up a career-best 28.1 points per game. The New Orleans Pelicans star now looks toward the start of the NBA campaign as a strong +300 wager to emerge as this season’s points per game leader on the NBA season props.

Selected first overall by the Pelicans in the 2012 NBA Draft, Davis was plagued by injuries over his first four years as a pro, missing an average of 17 games per season. However, the three-time NBA blocks leader has blossomed in good health, topping 28 PPG and 11 rebounds per game while making 75 appearances in each of the past two seasons.

With Davis at the helm, the Pelicans are set as a -190 wager to return to playoff action for a second straight year, but the 25-year-old faces a tough task keeping pace with Houston Rockets star James Harden, who sits atop the odds to lead the NBA in PPG as a +275 favorite.

Harden powered the Rockets to a franchise-record 65 wins last season while leading the league with 30.4 points per game. He has also enjoyed an outstanding preseason, averaging 23.6 PPG and draining a league-best 4.6 three-pointers per game in five appearances.

LeBron James makes his debut with the Los Angeles Lakers pegged as a +650 bet on the NBA betting props to lead the league in scoring, followed at +700 by Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, who closed out the preseason with 24.0 PPG.

Harden Favored to Lead the NBA in Assists

Elsewhere on the NBA season props, Harden is listed as a solid +750 wager to lead the league in assists for the second time in his career. After recording an NBA-best 11.2 helpers per game two years ago, Harden finished last season with 8.8 assists per game and now sits well back of John Wall, who leads the way as a +150 favorite on the NBA assists leader odds.

The Washington Wizards point guard recorded a second-ranked 10.7 assists per game two years ago, but took a step back while battling injury last season, tallying just 9.6 assists per game in just 41 appearances. However, the top pick in the 2010 NBA Draft looks to have put his injury woes behind him after averaging 7.0 assists in four preseason appearances.

Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook sits second to Wall at +270 on the NBA assists props, followed by Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons, while Chris Paul ranks just ahead of teammate Harden at +650.

While Harden resides among the favorites on the NBA assists leader odds, Davis is listed near the top of the board on the odds to lead the NBA in rebounds per game at +850.

Davis finished fifth last season with 11.1 rebounds per game, but is listed behind Andre Drummond, who has emerged as a +125 favorite to lead the league in rebounds for the third time in four years.

The Detroit Pistons big man tallied an impressive 16.0 boards in 2017/18, edging out DeAndre Jordan, who recorded 15.2 RPG, and enters his first season in Dallas as a +333 bet. Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns follows at +800, while Utah’s Rudy Gobert joins Davis at +850 on the NBA RBG odds.
