Bucks, Warriors Favored on Wednesday NBA Odds

Bet on NBA Odds at Bovada Sportsbook

The Milwaukee Bucks will try to close the gap on the first-place Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference standings when they return home on Wednesday to host the New Orleans Pelicans as 8-point favorites on the NBA odds.

Milwaukee wrapped up a brief three-game road trip on Tuesday with a narrow 107-104 win in Detroit, and now sits just 1.5 games back of the conference-leading Raptors going into Wednesday’s game at Fiserv Forum.

While their win over the Pistons as 3-point chalk was their fourth in five outings, the Bucks have struggled with consistency since opening the campaign on a 7-0 SU run, regularly alternating between wins and losses while going 13-9 SU over their past 22 contests.

Milwaukee has been a more reliable team when playing at home, going 7-2 SU in its past nine to improve its second-ranked home record to 13-3 SU, but has covered just twice in its past six. The Bucks are also a shaky bet when favored by eight or more points on home hardwood, covering just twice in their past six while going 7-22-1 ATS in their past 30.

The Bucks continue to lag on the NBA futures, trailing the favorites as a +450 wager on the basketball betting odds to win the Eastern Conference, and sport +1900 odds to claim their first NBA championship since 1974.

The Pelicans travel to Milwaukee amid a struggle to return to the playoff picture after picking up just five SU wins in their past 14 outings. New Orleans has particularly struggled on the road, picking up just four SU wins in 15 games this season. But the Pelicans have shown signs of life with wins in two of their past three road dates including a decisive 119-109 win in Charlotte as 3-point underdogs on December 2.

Anthony Davis remains the brightest light during an otherwise middling Pelicans campaign. The 25-year-old has topped 40 points in two of his past three appearances to keep pace with the NBA’s scoring leaders, and remains a contender to claim NBA MVP honors this season.

The Pelicans have also dominated the Bucks in recent years, winning SU in nine of 11 overall meetings including four of five in Milwaukee.

Warriors Road Favorites on NBA Odds in Utah

Elsewhere on the Wednesday NBA odds, the Golden State Warriors vie for a fifth straight road victory as they travel to Utah as 3-point favorites.

Golden State returned to top form in Monday’s 110-93 victory over Memphis as 13-point home chalk, ending a three-game ATS slide in NBA betting. Overall, though, the Warriors have been a betting disappointment since early November, going 7-13 ATS in their past 20 contests, but they have turned the corner in recent road dates, going 4-2 ATS in their past six.

However, the defending NBA champions have been far from a lock when pegged as narrow road chalk, failing to cover in six straight when favored by four or fewer points, and losing outright in five of those outings.

The Jazz return home after getting swept in a two-game road trip through Orlando and Houston, and have lost four of their last five games, but have tallied 122.67 points per game during a three-game home win streak heading into Wednesday night’s action.
