Bucks, Rockets Favored on Monday NBA Playoff Odds

The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to complete the sweep of their first-round NBA playoff series with the Detroit Pistons when they tip off in Game 4 on Monday as strong 12.5-point road favorites on the NBA playoff betting odds.

Milwaukee has dominated Detroit so far in the series, and can claim its first four-game playoff series sweep since 1983 with a win in Monday night’s game at Little Caesars Arena.

The Bucks handed the Pistons a third straight crushing defeat in Game 3 on Saturday, scoring 67 first-half points while cruising to an easy 119-103 win as 9.5-point road chalk on the NBA playoff lines. With the win, Milwaukee has now routed the Pistons in each of their three meetings in the series, claiming victory by an average margin of 24 points.

Winners of an NBA-leading 60 games during the regular season, the Bucks’ strong play in the first round extends a lengthy stretch of success against Detroit. Milwaukee now rides a seven-game straight-up win streak against the Pistons, including six victories by 10 or more points that has fueled a 6-0-1 run against the spread.

Not surprisingly, the Bucks continue to make gains on the NBA series prices, where they are pegged as massive -100000 favorites to post their first NBA playoff series win since 2001.

Losers in seven of their past nine outings, the Pistons’ prospects look decidedly grim entering Game 4. Detroit has been routed in three of four contests on home court during its current stretch of futility, and has averaged just 99.4 points over their past nine. But even with opponents regularly running up the score on Detroit, the UNDER holds only a slight advantage, going 5-4 in totals betting during that stretch.

Rockets Seek Sweep as Monday Betting Favorites

Elsewhere on Monday’s NBA playoff odds, the Houston Rockets look to complete the sweep as they take on the Utah Jazz as 3-point road favorites.

James Harden led the way as the Rockets seized a 3-0 series lead with Saturday’s 104-101 win. The reigning NBA MVP maintained his current torrid pace by scoring 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter during the club’s Game 3 victory as 2-point road underdogs, and after scoring 30 or more points in 10 of his past 15 outings Harden now sits as a heavy -150 favorite to lead all players in scoring during the NBA playoffs.

In addition to riding a five-game SU and ATS winless streak against the Rockets, the Jazz enter Monday’s action with just one SU win in their past six games. Offense continues to be a struggle for Utah. The Jazz failed to score more than 25 points in each of the final three quarters of Saturday’s game, and have averaged just 96.3 points per game during the series.

But despite their recent struggles and their position as +1800 underdogs on the NBA series prices, the Jazz have proven to be steady performers on home hardwood, suffering consecutive SU losses just once in their past 34 contests at Vivent Smart Home Arena.
